What Paradise is all about.
A Kitsune's Paradise is all about feral Kitsune in Furcadia The idea was made into reality via dreamweaving. Many kitsune players have been seen roaming about in random wolven dreams, hoping for some RP that doesn't involve fighting. They were very underappreciated and always called twinks beacuse they played Kitsune, which have the abilites of things not of this world. A Kitsune's Paradise was created so that all feral (and even furrie) may be surrounded by their own kind and have fun at the same time. Thanks to the brilliant artwork of SwiftKill, Mortain, and Hellfire's Fury, A Kitsune's Paradise is possible. We are not currently hiring.

What I meant by 'mating' is that IF a person is roleplaying a kitsune under the age of three tails, I highly doubt they should be considering others as 'mates/pre-mates'. Maybe three tails is a bit high as an age limit, but when there's a desc that's on a one-tailed avatar and it says they're a kit with a pre-mate... that's just ignorant. Taking into consideration the amount of power a kitsune has, they should be devoting their time to developing their powers so they, you know, can LIVE on the material plane, not to mention concetrating on the actual RP of the dream, instead of finding someone to call their own. Everyone wants someone for themselves, I've notcied that in EVERY RP I've ever included myself in... but I digress. I just don't want a one-tailed Kit with a 'pre-mate'. If, OOCly, you like that person, then simply consider them a friend of the character you're playing. That could lead to very interesting plots for your character, as well as the other person's.
As for the elements. Yes, I know they originally started off as simple messengers of the Goddess of Rice and that elements were added on a few thousand years after that. It also makes RP interesting.
On the topic of 'mixed-elementals', I purely forbid it. A kitsune CANNOT be born into two elements, I don't care what others say or how much they happen to complain.
An acceptable line of RP in the dream goes something like this: A kit is born under two elemental parents (because most people don't have a proper grasp on the Lore, as... others.... might). What the person can do is develop the element to which fits their character the best as the dominant element. Say a kit was born into Thunder and Music. At a young age, say... 100-150 years, they were able to compose beautiful sonnets and songs, they'd be a Dominant Music Kitsune, because THAT was the character's natural course in the plot.
Now, they may choose to delve into the magic of Thunder, but only minimally, thus making it a subourdinate element and one they do not use as often or feed from as often (ICly speaking... I'm ignoring finer points of the Lore in order to circumnavigate confusion).
Another example: Kari Kianna is a Time dominanted Kitsune. Her element is Time, she works closely with Time. Both of her parents were Time Kitsune, thus, she's Time. How'd she develop abilities with Earth? She was raised under the toutilage(sp?) of an Earthen Nine-Tailed. I have yet to work out how she came to his guidance, but, it fits a plausible plot and works in accordance with any Lore that's directly linked with the dream. ICly speaking, she spends a lot of time in the Earth area, paying homage to her tutor and guide, who is, regrattably, back on the spiritual plane.
THAT's what I expect from people in AKP. I don't expect them to be Kitsune know-it-all's, I expect them to follow logic in accordance with the rules. As a final note, there have been numerous changes to the dream's map. For any and all bugs found, please use the following contact information: whisper me on Furcadia (Kari Kianna) or on AIM (FishBowledChick). Thanks muchly.
